Durmitor is a strikingly beautiful natural park. Along the Tara River Canyon -The only rival to Colorado "The jewel of Europe" - with the deepest gorges in Europe, the dense pine forests are interspersed with clear lakes and harbor a wide range of endemic flora. There are 17 glacier lakes called "mountain eyes" in the area of Durmitor. Vegetation zones, covering 17,000ha, include deciduous forest, coniferous forest, sub-alpine zones and Alpine meadows. The dominant species include Scots pine, Norway pine, silver fir, beech, occasional birch, mugo pine and juniper. The park supports a rich korstic flora with many rare and endemic species. |

most famous is Black Lake, covered with ice and crystals of frozen snowflakes in
the winter. You can swim in it in the middle of the summer. Between the steep
hillsides or hidden in the green, thick foliage, are the magic beauties:
Zmijinje, Barno, Riblje, Vrazje, Modro and the other lakes.

Zabljak town is "moved up" to 1465 meters of the massive mountain of Durmitor. Most of our hikes we will start from Zabljak town. Daily tours are ranged from 3 to 10 hours and one can choose between easier and more challenging option. Led with our guides you will discover untouched beauties of mountain summits: Bobotov Kuk (2523m), Zupci (2396m), Uvita greda (Crimped Girt – 2199m), Terzin Bogaz (2145m), Medjed (Bear); lakes, valleys, canyon of Tara, pine forests... |

ACCOMMODATION We will be settled in three-star family run hotel "MB". Hotel MB is situated in central but peaceful part of Zabljak town. All rooms are with private facilities. Hotel has nice restaurants with great choices of local specialties. If you have some dietary restrictions we will be happy to adapt our menu to you. All breakfasts and dinners included in tour package will be served in the hotel restaurant. Zabljak is the highest town in Serbia and Montenegro, on 1453 m above level. It is in the middle of the national park Durmitor. |

The tour is available from January to December (Snowshoe tours from November to April)
We could organize car or van transportation to/ from Zabljak what is not included in the tour price.
The price is based on double room occupancy.
Single room
supplement 70 Euro. High season (from 1st of July to 31st of August)
supplement - 90 Euros.
Hotel Jezera
Rent-a-Chalet supplement is 120 Euros. Hotel Jezera Rent-a-Chalet are more
comfortable than regular hotel rooms and every chalet has: two rooms,
kitchenette, a small living room, terrace.
Tour Schedule
Day 1 Lakes Circuit
Arrival in Zabljak and meet your trip leader. This afternoon we will do short hiking and have opportunity to meet Durmitor mountain and its lakes. Just one
kilometre from Zabljak town is the biggest and one of the most beautiful glacial lake - Crno Jezero (Black Lake). We will hike around the lake thorough pine forest. Our
next stop will be Zminje lake which is hidden
in ever green dense forest. And the last one is a small lake Barno which we
will visit along our way back to Zabljak.
| Day 2 Bear Summit Circuit Passing by Crno Jezero lake we will hike through pine forest. After walking one and a half hour through forest, a scenery will change into a stony landscape and soon we will stand below cliffs where ice and snow stay all year around. We will make short break by an alpine refugee hut and hike up to Previja pass 2.145m - underneath of Medjed (Bear) peak 2.287m. From this spot you will enjoy beautiful view to highest Durmitor peaks and valley of Lokvice. Day 3 Jablan Lake and Crvena Greda summit Circuit Departing from Zabljak we will climb through dense fir forest to the highest Durmitor lake- Jablan Jezero. From Jablan lake we will hike to Crvena Greda summit 2.164m. Going back is different way. Total hike about 5 hours. |

Day 4 Rest day, optional white river rafting trip
(extra charge).
Day 5 The Tara Canyon View Point
Breakfast at 8:30. Today we will have again easier day to rest the group after a
day-before hike. So, we will stay at the plateau and passing through farms,
forest and vast meadows come to summit of Curevac- a view point above the Tara
Canyon. Picnic lunch at Curevac. Going back different way. Mostly flat terrain
with some small rolling hills. Start from Zabljak- 1.460 meters and highest
point is Curevac 1.625 meters.
Day 6 Cycling on Durmitor plateau
For the last day we choose do offer you one more activity to experience on this
magnificent mountain. Setting off this morning on our ride, we cycle from the
hotel through Zabljak town and further south. We will mostly stay on open vast
plateau covered with low vegetation. A great view on Durmitor massif we will
leave on our west and go to the rolling hills of Bare Zugica and Ramovo Zdrjelo.
Total cycling distance approx. 32 km. Flat and gently rolling terrain on the
altitude of 1.400m to 1.450m. above sea level.
Day 7
Departure after breakfast.
